Opening Press Briefing & Preview Tour

Opening Press Briefing - Please RSVP to Attend

WHERE: Second floor of the Salt Palace Convention Center in Room 254-A,  
WHEN: Monday, November 12, 2012 from 4:45 - 5:30pm

WHAT: Conference organizers will kick off the 25th annual SC conference, SC12, with an opening press briefing. As  part of this briefing, two leading industry analysts will discuss the state of the HPC market and their perspectives on trends worth noting.  This briefing will cover exclusive information being presented for the first time.  

WHO: Analysts presenting at the briefing are:
-  Addison Snell, CEO, Intersect360 Research
Intersect360 Research will present an overview of its recent studies on prevailing trends in HPC and the impact on both the economy and our world.
 
- Earl Joseph, HPC Program Vice President, IDC
IDC will present a brief overview of the HPC technical computing market and recent IDC research results on the major issues and trends impacting users and vendors.
 

SC12 Preview Tour - Please RSVP to Attend

WHEN: Monday, September 12, 5:45 pm immediately following the Press Briefing
WHERE: The IEEE booth immediately outside the Exhibit area

WHAT: The SC12 Preview Tour will give you a glimpse of the top technologies and applications, such as climate change, energy efficiency and bio-computing, in this fast-moving field, and hopefully provide you with some strong leads. At the end of the hour-long tour, you are invited to partake of refreshments as you immerse yourself in the full exhibition.

If you would like to join us for the tour, please RSVP online and then plan to meet at 5:45 p.m. Monday, Nov. 12, at the IEEE booth immediately outside the Exhibit area - across from the Registration area. The tour will give you a glimpse of the top technologies and applications, such as climate change, energy efficiency and bio-computing, in this fast-moving field, where computer performance is measured in quadrillions of calculations per second (petaflops) and networks routinely move data at mulit-gigabit speeds. At the end of the hour-long tour, you are invited to partake of refreshments as you immerse yourself in the full exhibition from 7-9 p.m.
