The problem with hosting a private cloud environment includes overall cost, scalability, maintainability, and customer interfacing.=0AComputational resources can be more utilized by using virtualization technology. Even then, there is room for improvement by using aggressive power saving strategies. Current open resource cloud implementations do not employ aggressive strategies for power reduction. My research in this area focuses on reducing power while maintaining high availability to compute resources.=0AClusters and clouds rely on the storage of persistent data.
