SESSION: Network Measurement
EVENT TYPE: Birds of a Feather
TIME: 12:15PM - 1:15PM
SESSION LEADER(S):Jon Dugan, Aaron Brown
Networks are critical to high performance computing: they play a crucial role both within the data center and in providing access to remote resources. It is imperative that these networks perform optimally. In order to understand the behavior and performance of these networks, they must be measured. This is a forum discussing network measurement, particularly as it relates to HPC. There will be presentations from experts in network performance measurement as well as time for questions, discussion and impromputu presentations. Potential topics include (but are not limited to) measurement tools, measurement frameworks, visualization, emerging standards and current research.
