EVENT TYPE: Panels
TIME: 10:30AM - 12:00PM

ABSTRACT:
Given the pressures of a global economy, American manufacturing competitiveness and in fact, the future of our manufacturing sector hinges on our ability to become highly innovative, adaptable, agile and efficient. Fortune 50 manufacturers utilize HPC for modeling, simulation, design, process and supply chain optimization, and on the manufacturing floor to accomplish these goals. But adoption of the digital manufacturing lifecycle paradigm is only just now taking root in this country.
Many speak about the potential for a manufacturing renaissance in the U. S. based in large part on our technological and computational prowess. Digital manufacturing is front and center in the national agenda. It is a key point in almost every report, address and discussion on the future of the U. S. economy.
What is the role of HPC in this vision and how will this play out? How can we succeed in bootstrapping an American Manufacturing Renaissance?
