SCHEDULE: NOV 10-16, 2012
When viewing the Technical Program schedule, on the far righthand side is a column labeled "PLANNER." Use this planner to build your own schedule. Once you select an event and want to add it to your personal schedule, just click on the calendar icon of your choice (outlook calendar, ical calendar or google calendar) and that event will be stored there. As you select events in this manner, you will have your own schedule to guide you through the week.
SiO2 Fissure in Molecular Dynamics
SESSION: Scientific Visualization Showcase Reception
EVENT TYPE: Scientific Visualization Showcases
TIME: 5:15PM - 7:00PM
AUTHOR(S):Aaron Knoll
ROOM:North Foyer
ABSTRACT:
This video demonstrates output of a large scale molecular dynamics
computation of 4.7 million atoms, simulating glass fracture over the
course of over a nanosecond. Postprocessed data consists of 500 frames
at 3 GB per frame. We generate approximate charge density volume data
to highlight the overall structure. Rendering is performed using
Nanovol, a volume raycasting tool for computational chemistry.
